Gibson Commercial Construction has broken ground on the exterior storage expansion in Fort Wayne, IN. This project along Maplecrest Road includes (18) new structures in a former parking lot to expand the current capacity of the existing Extra Space Storage location. A roof replacement of the existing building is included in the scope of this project.

IMPD K9 Unit Breaks Ground on New Facility
Gibson Commercial Construction is proud to be assisting the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s K9 Unit with the construction of their new facility. The new 6,200sf building will provide the space for offices, meeting rooms, kennels, and training space.
Tipton Schools Back in Session
Tipton Community Schools are back in session and enjoying the summer improvements. The Elementary School received new secure entrance doors. The Middle School office received a facelift with the help of a new reception area and a fresh coat of paint. The clinic has all-new casework and a renovated restroom. The hallway’s wood paneling has been replaced with new tiles to give the students a bright welcome.
Greenville Love’s Travel Stop Advances Along
The walls are going up at the Love’s Travel Stop addition in Greenville, IL. After a design and scope change, Gibson Commercial Construction quickly regrouped and reworked the under-slab utilities to get the slab poured. Now framing is rising up from the slab, soon to be covered with exterior finishes to blend it in with the existing facility. Improvements at this location will now include expanded storage area and food prep areas for Hot to Go selections.
Ground is Broken for Traffic Control Specialists’ New Facility
Gibson Commercial Construction has broken ground on a new building for Traffic Control Specialists in Crawfordsville, Indiana. This new 32,000SF facility will include office space, storage, mechanics bay, and a large dock to help TCS expand their operations into the local market. Follow along as the earthwork continues along and foundation work begins in the coming weeks.
Progress Continues at Love’s in Knightstown
The (2) additions to the Love’s Travel Stop in Knightstown, Indiana are keeping momentum. The brick work is complete and attention is moving inside, as interior framing and rough-ins have begun for the plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Soon, the familiar finishes will be installed as we approach the last stages of this project.
Racing Along at Putnam Park
The masonry block is topped out, the steel is set, and the roof is water-tight at Putnam Park Road Course. The finishes and doors will soon follow as we speed towards the checkered on the newest set of member garages at Putnam Park Road Course.
Tom Wood Collision Center Expands
Tom Wood Collision Center is expanding within its current building. The remodel, which has recently begun, will expand their current operations and offer improvements to the site. Once finished, the new masonry façade will offer new drive-in estimating bays.
Love’s Enhancements have Begun in Greenville, Illinois
Gibson Commercial Construction’s newest project for Love’s Travel Stops has commenced in Greenville, IL. Soon to be seen improvements will include additional accessible showers and customer laundry facilities. Keep posted for updates along the way.
New Retail Space Complete
Gibson Commercial Construction has recently completed a retail buildout in Greenwood, IN. The remodel of the existing 2,400sf suite included new finishes, as well as, new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
