The project consisted of an approximate 39,000 SF renovation and 2,900 SF addition to (2) former office buildings. The project transformed the multi-office suite building into a new Powersports center with showrooms, service center and parts departments.
The Exterior Scope of Work performed by Gibson Commercial Construction includes a new center structure to connect the buildings, parking area improvements, and landscaping.
The Interior Scope of Work included a complete demolition of the interior finishes down to the studs. New finishes were applied to accommodate the new use of the facility including epoxy flooring, metal liner panel, solid core wood doors, drywall and acoustical ceilings. New plumbing, electrical, fire suppression and mechanical systems were installed as part of this project.
Work has commenced on a new BMV Connect branch in Lafayette, IN. The new BMV branch, located within the Market Square Shopping Center, will feature BMV Connect kiosks allowing for 24 hour access to BMV services. The buildout includes offices, classrooms, testing stations and transaction desks. Stay registered as this project drives along.
A new self-storage option is available in Lorain, OH. Gibson Commercial Construction has completed the first phase of the conversion of an existing building into climate controlled self-storage. In addition, this project entailed placing non-climate controlled drive up storage units in the adjacent parking lots.
The pavement has been broken on the exterior drive up storage expansion to the Extra Space Storage in Euclid, Ohio. Once complete, this expansion will provide an additional 26,000 SF of storage in an under-utilized parking lot. Follow along for progress on this expansion.
A recent expansion of the Love’s Truck Care and Tire Center located at Love’s Travel Stop in Mooresville, IN is complete. This project added an additional bay complete with an oil pit to increase maintenance efficiency and capacity. The Truck Care lobby also received enhancements as part of this project.
Gibson Commercial Construction transformed two former office buildings into the new home for Tom Wood Powersports on 96th Street in Carmel, Indiana. The new space offers two showrooms for the multiple brand offerings, as well as a new service center to expand service capabilities offered at the location. A new Prep Academy was recently completed for Associated Builders and Contractors in Fishers, IN. Gibson Commercial Construction, as well as many other members of Associated Builders and Contractors, were able to complete the buildout in order to give high school students the preparation tools they would need to grow within the construction field with hands-on experience. Work is underway in Lorain, Ohio, as Gibson Commercial Construction converts a building into the future Lorain Mini Storage. This location will offer climate controlled and drive-up storage options to its clients. Follow along as this project progresses throughout the spring season.
Gibson Commercial Construction has recently started another project at the Love’s Travel Stop in Mooresville, IN. This project entails an expansion to the Speedco Truck Lube & Tires location at the Travel Stop. The expansion will increase the bay capacity and includes a pit for the mechanics.
Steel is up and concrete is going down at the future location of Tom Wood Powersports in Indianapolis. The liner panel is nearing completion on the interior, while mechanical is being roughed in prior to drywall. Soon the finishes will be installed as this project nears completion.
